De historische Cru Brunate is gelegen in La Morra, ten Zuiden van Barolo, op een bodem van kalkachtig klei. De wijnstokken zijn 43 jaar oud en worden geleid in Gouyot. De druiven worden zachtjes gekneusd en de most vergist op cuve gedurende 23 dagen op 30-32°C met dagelijkse remontage in open lucht en pigeage. De malo-lactische gisting gebeurt op eik en voor de élevage wordt 32 maand voorzien op Franse barrique en Sloveense foudres. De betere foodpairing? Rood vlees en wild. The wine's expressive bouquet shows open and frank aromas of dark fruit, tar, road paving, crushed stone and black truffle. This vintage also shows a savory or foxy touch of old leather or spice.
