Plezier verzekerd!

IN DE PERS

89 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Januari 2019)
The 2016 Lagrange, the Pomerol not Saint-Julien estate, has a strong tobacco/cigar box aroma that tinctures the mixture of red and black fruit on the nose; flecks of dark chocolate emerge with time. The medium-bodied palate offers grainy tannin and nice balance, showing a little more precision on the finish than I have noticed in recent vintages. Maybe overall I would have liked more freshness and tension, but this should drink well for several years. Drink 2021-2028.

86-88 Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate Issue #230 - robertparker.com (April 2017)
The Lagrange 2016 Pomerol is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. It has a straightforward, simple and slightly earthy bouquet, a subtle floral aspect emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with rustic, slightly coarse tannin. There is good freshness here and a good backbone, a rather "brawny" Pomerol that could work when accompanied by simple hearty dishes, yet feels a little raw on its own. Drink: 2020-2030.

92 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Januari 2019)
The 2016 Lagrange (Pomerol) is an intriguing wine. Savory herb, dried rose petal, mint and earthy notes add quite a bit of character to a core of fleshy, dark red fruit. The 2016 offers good depth and plenty of persistence in a slightly rustic style that nevertheless holds considerable appeal. Drink 2021-2036.

89-92 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (April 2017)
The 2016 Lagrange (Pomerol) is plump, juicy and super-expressive. Medium in body, with terrific aromatic complexity and generous, pliant fruit, the 2016 captures the best qualities of the vintage. Savory herbs, anise, tobacco and a host of dark red berry notes flesh out in this very pretty, succulent Pomerol. The 2016 finishes with lovely freshness that invites a second taste.

90 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - robertparker.com (December 2018)
Made up of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2016 Lagrange (Pomerol) is medium garnet-purple in color and reveals notes of kirsch, warm red plums and blackberry compote with touches of garrigue, black olives and wild thyme. Medium-bodied with a firm backbone of grainy tannins and loads of freshness lifting the savory and red fruit flavors, it finishes on an earthy note. Drink 2020-2030.

92-93 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (Maart 2017)
A bright and pretty wine with a walnut-shell, stone and blackberry character. Medium body, linear fruit and polished tannins. Very pretty.

90 Jane Anson – decanter.com (April 2017)
Here we have the power from 9ha of vines on gravel over Pomerol clay, particularly deep blue clay, that turbo-charges this wine. It strays close to big-shouldered but veers back towards just flirting with power, doling it out slowly but surely. This is a vintage for people who want to flirt with extremes without ever quite getting to a point of danger. Black cherry fruits with stunning juiciness and coffee bean edging. So luscious. 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet franc. Moueix distribution. Drink: 2027-2040.

16,5/20 Jancis Robinson – jancisrobinson.com (April 2017)
Deep crimson. Sweet, broad, spicy nose. Cheerful, straightforward, juicy Pomerol that presented itself as an early drinker but then a mass of tannins crept in on the end. Drink: 2025-2040.

88-91 James Molesworth - Wine Spectator – winespectator.com (April 2017)
Ripe cherry and plum sauce flavors glide along, with a flash of balsam wood on the finish. A touch languid, but the fruit is pretty.

90 Bettane & Desseauve (April 2017)

17-18/20 Gault & Millau (April 2017)

Lagrange (Pomerol)

In 2008 werd hij “Decanter Man of the Year”.
