Bravo…

IN DE PERS

90 Neal Martin - vinous.com (Juli 2019)
The 2015 Poujeaux has a fragrant, quite floral bouquet of pretty red berry fruit, rose petal and damp undergrowth scents. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin, but there is a fine bead of acidity and a pleasing tobacco-stained finish. Fine, but not long-term. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

90 Neal Martin - The Wine Advocate - robertparker.com (Maart 2018)
The 2015 Poujeaux has a very able bouquet with blackberry, briary and subtle undergrowth scents, hints of boysenberry jam developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, redcurrant and a tang of marmalade. I would have liked a little more structure to come through, although there is decent length here. Fine, but I still feel that this estate can aim for higher. Anticipated maturity: 2020 - 2032.

90-92 Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate Issue #224 – erobertparker.com (April 2016)
The 2015 Poujeaux is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It has a high-toned, floral bouquet with kirsch and raspberry coulis notes, opulent for this Moulis, but it manages to retain control. The palate is chewy on the entry with mouth-coating tannin, solid in the mouth, brutish at the moment, although the finish does show satisfactory freshness, and is long and minerally. This will be intriguing once in bottle. Drink: 2020-2035.

92-93 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (Maart 2016)
Shows excellent depth of fruit with chewy and polished tannins. Full and very long. Gorgeous length.

90 Antonio Galloni - vinous.com (Februari 2018)
The 2015 Poujeaux is gorgeous and open-knit, with lovely fruit presence, soft contours and tons of near to medium-term appeal. Silky tannins add to the wine's inviting personality. The sweet red cherry and plum flavors have an extra dimension of richness and deepness in 2015 that is unusual, but that also adds to the wine's undeniable allure. This is a gorgeous wine from the Cuvelier family. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Drink 2018-2025.

88-90 Antonio Galloni – Vinous - vinous.com (April 2016)
The 2015 Poujeaux is shaping up to be a huge overachiever in this vintage. Rich, layered and generous, the 2015 offers considerable near and medium term appeal. This is a strong showing from the Cuvelier family. Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu are the consulting winemakers.

88-91 James Molesworth - Wine Spectator – winespectator.com (Maart 2016)
Subtle tea and sandalwood notes meld nicely with the core of lightly steeped red currant fruit. Features a gentle cocoa powder edge on the elegant finish.

91 Jeannie Cho Lee – Forbes Magazine (19 april 2016)
A delicious, well made Poujeaux that offers plums, mocha and cassis fruit. Generous, quite open and plush, well handled tannins and good finish.

90 Stephen Spurrier - Decanter Magazine – decanter.com (April 2016)
Big, plummy but lifted Cabernet-Merlot flavours. Shows the usual richness of Poujeaux with more finesse and grip this year. Drink: 2021-2032

18/20 René Gabriel – Wein Wisser (April 2016)

92-94 Wine Enthusiast (April 2016)

16,5-17/20 Bettane & Desseauve (April 2016)

15,5-16,5/20 Revue des Vins de France (April 2016)

15/20 Jean-Marc Quarin – quarin.com (April 2016)

91 Tim Atkin – timatkin.com (April 2016)
Poujeaux rarely disappoints, making wines that are often of classed growth standard. This is a dense, serious, focused claret with notes of wood smoke, black tea and blackcurrant, fine oak and taut acidity. Drink: 2020-2028.

Poujeaux

Cuvelier
