IN DE PERS

92 Monica Larner – The Wine Advocate Issue #237 – robertparker.com (Juni 2018)
The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Scarrone sees fruit sourced from a vineyard site that is located right under the Vietti household. The vines are 29 years old and are therefore old enough to have lost their youthful vigor, resulting in rich and more concentrated fruit. This balanced and elegant expression offers black fruit aromas that are backed by healthy extraction and density. There is a point of bright acidity on the close. It adds chiseled intensity and focused sharpness. Drink 2018-2028.

90 Antonio Galloni - vinous.com (Mei 2019)
The 2016 Barbera d'Alba Scarrone is dark, open-knit and expressive, with good depth and fine overall balance. Plum, black cherry, smoke, chocolate and licorice build into the racy, plush finish. Drink it over the next few years. Drink 2018-2024.

Vietti

Hard to go wrong with anything they make.
Antonio Galloni - vinousmedia.com

I have been purchasing Vietti wines since the 1971 vintage, and they never disappointed…
In top vintages, these big-styled Barolos easily last three decades or more.

Currado

If forced to inhabit a desert island that only served the wines of a single producer, I would want Luca Currado to be that supplier. He excels at everything he does from his castle perch at the heart of Castiglione Falletto.
