We gaan hier ontzettend veel mensen mee plezier doen!

IN DE PERS

94 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Juni 2020)
The 2019 Clos René displays impressive clarity and terroir expression on a focused nose of vivid red berry fruit; black truffle and sage aromas come through with time. The palate is well balanced with a fleshy opening and then builds toward quite a substantial, complex, slightly savory and certainly peppery finish. Superb. Drink 2024-2042.

93-95 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Juni 2020)
The 2019 Clos René continues a strong run of form for this oft-overlooked Pomerol estate. The bouquet is well defined and pure with vivacious red cherries, redcurrant jam and raspberry all interlaced with black truffle and dark chocolate scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, well judged acidity, touches of orange rind and even marmalade infusing the tart red fruit. Everything here just seems extremely well proportioned. Recommended. Drink 2024-2044.

93 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Juni 2020)
The 2019 Clos René is a very beautiful wine. From bottle, the 2019 shows a touch more freshness than it did as a barrel sample. Inky dark fruit, licorice, chocolate, spice and new leather emerge first, followed by a whole range of floral and savory accents that liven things up. The Cabernet Franc is quite expressive. Tasted two times. Drink 2026-2039.

89-91 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Juni 2020)
The 2019 Clos René is juicy, pliant and distinctive, with no hard edges and terrific overall balance. Dark fruit, espresso, licorice, menthol and lavender meld together in a supple and caressing Pomerol graced with lovely fruit presence and fine balance. Succulent dark cherry, spice, cedar, new leather and licorice all open up with a bit of coaxing. This is decidedly an understated Pomerol that has much to offer.

90-92 Lisa Perrotti-Brown – robertparker.com (Juni 2020)
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Clos Rene charges out of the glass with gregarious scents of freshly crushed blackberries, plum preserves and wild blueberries with hints of hoisin, moss-covered tree bark and black truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has bags of vivacity, with an interesting interplay of fresh, crunchy black fruit and blue fruit preserves. Framed by ripe rounded tannins and bold freshness, it finishes on a lingering peppery note.
