Uitvoering en vervoering zijn twee verschillende zaken, maar we zijn vrij zeker dat 2019 Marquis d’Alesme een héél bijzonder fles wordt. Knappe Margaux Grand Cru Classé! IN DE PERS 95 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Februari 2022) The 2019 Marquis d'Alesme Becker was very impressive from barrel. Now in bottle, it has retained those engaging aromas of blackberry, raspberry, cedar and a pinch of spice, well defined and quintessentially Margaux. The palate is understated on the entry, smooth and sensual in texture, with gorgeous, very pure red fruit. I adore the harmony of this wine, and the way it sashays toward the finish. Deceptively approachable, this will mature beautifully in bottle. Drink 2025-2050. 94-96 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Juni 2020) The 2019 Marquis d'Alesme Becker was picked from 26 September to 12 October and matures in 50% new oak. It has a clean and pure bouquet with blackberry, briary, cedar and subtle floral notes - very Margaux and enticingly understated in style. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly grainy entry, a very well structured wine with a sappy finish that gets the saliva flowing. Superb. Drink 2025-2050. 94 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Februari 2022) A bold, extroverted wine the 2019 Marquis d'Alesme is every bit as impressive from bottle as it was en primeur. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, leather, licorice and bittersweet chocolate are all amplified, as are the potent tannins. This is an especially rich, extracted style of Margaux, and yet all the elements come together so well, especially with a bit of air. Drink 2027-2045. 92-94 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Juni 2020) The 2019 Marquis d'Alesme is fabulous. Rich, deep and explosive, the 2019 possesses superb depth and impeccable balance. Soaring aromatics make a strong first impression. The wine is every bit as appealing on the palate, with layers of fruit that open up effortlessly. Sweet tobacco, cedar, licorice, grilled herbs and red raspberry fruit come together in this superb Margaux. The 2019 is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, harvested between September 26 and October 12. Aging is expected to be 18 months in 65% new oak and 35% once-used barrels. 92 William Kelley - robertparker.com (April 2022) The 2019 Marquis d'Alesme has tuned out well, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berry fruit, woodsmoke, licorice and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, it's supple and charming, with a succulent core of fruit, powdery tannins and fine length. Drink 2025-2045. 92-94 Lisa Perrotti-Brown – robertparker.com (Juni 2020) The 2019 Marquis d'Alesme Becker is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, harvested from the 26th of September to the 12th of October. It has an alcohol of 14% and is being aged in French oak barrels, 50% new. Very deep purple-black colored, it charges out of the gate with bold notions of baked blackberries, warm cassis and plum preserves plus hints of dried Provence herbs, cracked black pepper, woodsmoke and hoisin. The medium-bodied palate has bags of freshness and a ripe, grainy-textured frame supporting the generous black fruits, finishing long and savory. 94 Jane Anson – decanter.com (Juni 2020) I've been thoroughly enjoying the work that they are doing at Marquis d'Alesme in recent vintages and this very much continues the success. Sappy, juicy, well defined raspberry and blackberry fruits, concentrated in all the right places, with a saline finish that is both mouthwatering and moreish. Winemaker Marjolaine de Coninck has steered the property through the heat of the summer and got the balance just right. Harvest September 26 to October 12. Drink 2028-2044. 93-94 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (Juni 2020) 93-95 Jeff Leve – winecellarinsider.com (Juni 2020) Flowers, tobacco leaf, smoke, licorice, wet earth and fresh red fruits. The wine blends 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot reaching 14% alcohol and is aging in 50% new French oak barrels.
