IN DE PERS 93-95 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Mei 2022) The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus is a regal, elegant wine. Rich and sumptuous, yet classically medium in body, the 2021 is impeccably balanced from start to finish. A rush of red/purplish fruit, rose petal, mint, blood orange and cinnamon build into the exquisite, layered finish. The 2021 reinforces my view that La Fleur-Pétrus is the wine to focus on in the Moueix range. Hosanna and, especially Trotanoy, are more famous, to be sure, but in 2021 those wines are heavily shaped by the growing conditions of the year, while La Fleur-Pétrus is simply La Fleur-Pétrus. Classic Pomerol as far as I am concerned. Drink 2029-2041. 94 William Kelley – robertparker.com (Februari 2024) The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus has realized all the potential it showed in barrel and stands out as a real success on the Right Bank. Wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, dark berries, licorice, anise, violets and baking chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with a velvety attack that segues into a suave, seamless mid-palate that exhibits good depth and concentration. Drink 2025-2045. 91-94 William Kelley – robertparker.com (April 2022) The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus is performing nicely, exhibiting aromas of plums, cherries, sweet soil tones, loamy soil and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless palate that's lively and charming. Classically proportioned and nicely balanced, if it takes on additional depth with élevage, I'd expect it to land at the upper end of my bracketed score. 95-96 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (Mei 2022) Very polished with fine tannins that finish intensely. It’s a medium-to full-bodied red with focus. Blackberry and blackcurrant flavors. Hints of tobacco and nutmeg, too. 95 Jane Anson – janeanson.com (April 2022) Subdued on the first nose, this is well constructed, and takes its time to unroll. Violet and gunsmoke emerge first, followed by tons of blackberry and redcurrant fruit, cocoa bean, smoked liquorice, earth and black truffles. Successful, gorgeous silky texture, less exuberant than the past few years but nuanced, seductive, overperforms the vintage and is extremely easy to recommend. One to look out for. September 23 to October 6 harvest. 91-93+ Lisa Perrotti-Brown – thewineindependent.com (Mei 2022) The 2021 La Fleur-Petrus is a blend of 95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it comes galloping out of the glass like a thoroughbred, featuring very pure scents of fresh blackberries, crunchy black plums, and Morello cherries, plus suggestions of red roses, cast-iron pan, and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied, the palate is very finely textured and beautifully nuanced with loads of mineral and floral sparks among the intense red and black fruit layers, finishing with great length. This is a gorgeous Pomerol - bravo! Drink 2027-2045. 17+/20 James Lawther – jancisrobinson.com (Mei 2022) 95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. Cask sample. The winner in the J-P Moueix stable this year, in my book. Elegant but restrained with just that bit more density on the mid palate than the other wines. Fine texture and tannins with drive on the finish. Elegance and balance combined. In 2008 werd hij “Decanter Man of the Year”. |
