Lazzarito is een "single Cru" wijngaard van slechts 1,7 hectare op klakhoudende kleigronden gelegen in Serralunga d’Alba. Hij is gemiddeld 39 jaar oud en werd aangeplant op een densiteit van 4.500 voeten per hectare. Het rendement per hectare is er laag, met zo’n 26 hl/ha. De druiven worden zachtjes gekneusd, waarna het sap gedurende 27 dagen gist op cuve à 30-32°C. Dagelijkse remontage en pigeage, gevolgd door malo-lactische gisting op barrique en élevage (7 maand in Franse barrique en 25 maand in Sloveense foudres). Lazzarito is één van de meest vermaarde Crus van Serralunga d’Alba en een moderne interpretatie van Barolo.
