IN DE PERS 93 William Kelley – The Wine Advocate - robertparker.com (Maart 2025) Aromas of sweet cherries, baked plums, licorice and cigar wrapper introduce the 2022 Latour à Pomerol, a medium to full-bodied, rich and creamy wine that's ripe and supple, with soft tannins that assert themselves on the finish. Drink 2025-2042. 91-94 William Kelley – The Wine Advocate Issue 266 - robertparker.com (April 2023) The 2022 Latour à Pomerol wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet cherries, red berries, licorice and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with a sweet core of fruit, polished tannins and a ripe but lively profile, this is a fine effort. 97-98 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (April 2023) Already shows very classy aromas of black berries, currants and black olives. Violets and other dried flowers. Full-bodied yet tight and polished with a reserved and muscular form, with finesse at the same time. New 1982? Pure merlot. 93 Neal Martin - vinous.com (Januari 2025) The 2022 Latour à Pomerol has a relatively low-key bouquet, although there is much more complexity here than the preceding Certan de May. A mixture of red and black fruit, black truffle and light smoky scents, this gains aromatic weight with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, lightly spiced and gently tannic. It's sapid toward the finish that tempts you back for more. This is a lovely, quite understated Pomerol for the vintage. Drink 2031-2055. 93 Antonio Galloni - vinous.com (Januari 2025) Medium in body, the 2022 Latour à Pomerol is a linear wine built more on aromatic expressiveness and persistence rather than size. The vegetal quality it showed en primeur is absent today. Instead, the 2022 delivers notes of red fruit, blood orange, cedar, spice and dried herbs. Potent tannins and a somber fruit profile give the 2022 its decidedly virile feel today. Drink 2026 - 2042. 90 Jane Anson – janeanson.com (Mei 2023) Strong clove notes on the attack, this feels super charged without enough balancing acidity. It will soften I am sure, as this is a property with an excellent track record, and is one to retaste in bottle. Harvest dates of September 1 to 8 gives you a clue to just how ripe these grapes were getting. 92-94 Jeb Dunnuck – jebdunnuck.com (Mei 2023) All Merlot from a small eight hectares of gravelly, clay soils, the 2022 Château Latour A Pomerol offers up a vivid purple hue as well as beautiful aromatics of ripe black cherries, blackberries, chocolaty herbs, and loamy earth. It's medium to full-bodied, has plenty of concentration, building, ripe tannins, and a great finish. 93-94 Ella Lister – lefigaro.fr (Mei 2023) 91-93 Jeff Leve – thewinecellarinsider.com (Mei 2023) Dark chocolate, licorice, smoke, flowers, cherry blossoms and plums create the aromatic profile here. On the palate, the wine is lush, creamy, sweet, and deep. The fruits are ripe, lifted and long. There is freshness, along with elegance in the silky finish. The wine is produced from 100% Merlot. In 2008 werd hij “Decanter Man of the Year”. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
