Dit is 2022 op z’n best: zijdezachte, soepele tannine en massa’s fraîcheur maken deze charmante Pomerol simpelweg onweerstaanbaar. Taillefer omvat 12 ha ten zuiden van de appellatie (naar Libourne toe) en wordt gemaakt door de jonge en getalenteerde Claire Basteau-Moueix met Eric Boissenot als consulent sinds 2015. 92% Merlot en 8% Cabernet Franc. 39hl/ha. Crushed flowers, small red berry fruit, mocha, new leather and a whiff of spice all grace this attractive, mid-weight Pomerol. There's a touch of discreet oak, but ultimately Taillefer succeeds by not trying to be something it can't be. All the elements are very nicely balanced in this stylish Pomerol from Bernard Moueix. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. Fresh and elegant, this beautifully crafted Taillefer lingers temptingly on the finish and is one of the best vintages in recent years. Drink 2027-2042. 90-92 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Mei 2023) The 2022 Taillefer has a perfumed, floral bouquet with dark berry fruit, white pepper and light undergrowth scents. I admire the precision here. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive structure. Certainly balanced, with a grippy, focused finish. A big step up from the 2021 apropos this Pomerol.
