IN DE PERS 90-92 Yohan Castaign – The Wine Advocate Issue 266 - robertparker.com (April 2023) A strong effort, the 2022 Malartic Lagravière Blanc reveals aromas of Anjou pear, spring flowers, verbena, linden and mint, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate with good depth and flesh. Fresh and racy, this will offer a broad drinking window. 91-93 Neal Martin – vinous.com (Mei 2023) The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc was cropped at 18hL/ha between 24 August and 1 September, aged in 50% new oak. Pressed dried flowers on the nose, scents of dandelion and yellow plum, a touch of fennel coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with a pithy opening, nutty and smoky in style, good depth with that nutty finish offering noticeable salinity. Very fine. 91-93 Antonio Galloni – vinous.com (Mei 2023) The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc screams out of the glass with tons of Sauvignon Blanc character. Crisp and vibrant, with notable tension, the 2022 is wonderfully expressive. Grapefruit, mint, crushed rocks, sage and white pepper all grace this taut, steely white. 97-98 James Suckling – jamessuckling.com (April 2023) Very sophisticated and structured yet weightless and agile, with a finesse, precision and length that is so wonderful. So precise and complex with vivid acidity and length. Such clarity. Really excited about this one. 94 Jane Anson – janeanson.com (Mei 2023) Pale gold, excellent grip, white pear and citrus, luscious lemon and green apple, this is a good walking the line between full exotic fruits and fleshier green apple and sage. Great stuff from this excellent property. 94-97 Jeb Dunnuck – jebdunnuck.com (Mei 2023) Up with the crème de la crème, the 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is based on 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Sémillon, all of which is still aging in 50% new French oak. It has an incredible bouquet of honeyed citrus, grapefruit, and flowers to go with medium to full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It’s concentrated, has a great texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a brilliant finish. Yields here were a miniscule 18 hectoliters per hectare, and the Grand Vin is a selection of only 44% of the total production. 94 Jeff Leve – thewinecellarinsider.com (Mei 2023) Flowers, white chocolate, pineapple, spice, papaya, white peach, and orange scents are easy to pick up on the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, sweet, and fruity leaving you with creamy yellow citrus, grapefruit and white peach notes. The wine blends 76% Sauvignon Blanc with 24% Semillon. The harvest took place August 24 - September 1. 14.56% ABV, pH3.29. Zijn zoon Jean-Jacques staat aan het hoofd van deze wijngaard die geklasseerd werd zowel voor zijn witte als voor zijn rode wijnen. Hij wordt in zijn taak bijgestaan door de oenologen Michel Rolland en Athanase Fakorellis. De wijngaad omvat 53 hectare: 45 hectare zijn bestemd voor de productie van rode wijnen (45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc en 2% Petit Verdot.
